No surprises here. Can you lose weight without exercise? Absolutely "YES." But down deep we know and will know even better that what we are, in fact, looking for is healthy and the joy of being physically fit, and even though you can lose the weight by simply eating less, you want more, you should want more and we know you will want more.

HERE A NUMBER OF FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT "DIET SUCCESS" THAT RELATE TO EXERCISE AS A COMPONENT OF THE PROGRAM AND A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

1. "Friends of mine who are using your program and successfully, tell me that your program talks about diet and exercise, but never gives any specifics, no regimen and no diet suggestions. Why not"

Answer: Great question. The majority of people we are working with are veterans of plans, and failures. Why, we asked. Our answer is first, they were committed to the idea, but it was never an integrated goal. In other words, they still didn't get it. They still were unaware, in specific, of the bad habits of eating and lack of exercise that resulted in their overweight and the lack of a feeling of being physically sound. The Diet Success-Now plan takes you through a period, 30 days, when you learn a great deal about yourself. The second principle we work with is that once that happens, that you are empowered and enabled by seeing yourself, that you will design a better diet and exercise plan that we can, one that will specifically meet your lifestyle and mindset. There are hundreds of diet ideas you can "Google" and the same with exercise. The Diet Success-Now has been designed and is successful in taking you to the point of "ownership" and from then on it puts YOU in charge.

2. "I'm charged. I've done the thirty days and am ready to go up the mountain. How will I know when I have found the right diet and exercise plan?"

Answer: Congratulations. Now, you feel the sense of ownership that we talk about, and you are "pumped" for success. What we suggest you do is begin by eating better-after thirty days, you have already begun to eliminate how much you eat, and to be conscious of what you are eating. You have already, almost subconsciously, started to exercise more. You have made small incremental steps, and now you are looking for something more, something that will accelerate your progress. Your goal is set, to lose weight and feel better. In the next weeks your ideas of how much weight and how much exercise with begin to change and develop naturally. You now have the internal tools to evaluate what you eat and how you exercise. You are beginning to know your own limits. What will emerge is a self designed dynamic plan that YOU design for You. It will be a method, and if one method doesn't work out, if, for example, jogging doesn't work, you will find other exercise that does. We have watched the progression to less "fast foods" to more basic eating. You didn't get to where you were in a flash, and the sustainability of where you want to go, won't happen in a flash. It is a life process. There is nothing you have to give up forever. There is no routine that you have to do every day, unless you decide that "absolutes" work best for you, nothing or everything. How will you know? You'll get a strong internal message from your life-coach, YOU, and you will recognize the voice.

3. "I have never been physically fit and I have been overweight for so long that I am fearful that I won't recognize the markers of success"

Answer: There should be interim goals. Lack of success demonstrates that the bigger the initial goal, the more likely that failure will follow. Staying on course is a goal. Determining a rate of integration, both in eating and exercising regularly is a goal. You can establish soft goals, basically signs of success. You can begin to expect weight loss and the beginning feelings of results from you exercise regime. You can reward yourself by wearing some of your "out-of-use" clothes that you kept, while hoping that you would grow into them again. You can give your body some attention, try a new hair look, pay attention to your skin, add some weight work to tone your body while you're losing weight. Begin to feel confident about your success. Best of all, your body will send you signals. Watch for them.

4. "Do I need to look for a personal trainer to achieve the most from this program?"

Answer: Obviously, the more focus, the better result, and if you can afford to have the trainer, do it. Especially in the beginning when you are just learning exercise regimens, trainers can set you on the right course. You are already aware that DIET SUCCESS-NOW does not emphasize the short term start up," because we have the experience of knowing that just getting someone to cut down and do more walking is, in the long term, more successful that a "full immersion" plan." Heavy, out of shape people, are not emotionally built to make radical new moves. It frightens them into believing that they can not maintain their progress, instead of building on a incremental series of successes. In the end YOU know YOU best.
